On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,934. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 11.485 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 13,008.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 5.507 billion followed by DJ PKR 1.380 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 1.230 billion, Currencies through COTS PKR 933.800 million, NSDQ100 PKR 849.243 million, SP500 PKR 751.914 million, Silver PKR 300.025 million, Natural Gas PKR 252.283 million, Platinum PKR 219.731 million, Copper PKR 29.917 million, Palladium PKR 23.004 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 6.721 million. In agriculture 32 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 14.464 million and one lot of Wheat valued at PKR 3.774 million was traded.
